Pocketbook, makers of a line of tablets and eReaders has introduced a new 10 inch model called the Pocketbook A10. It features a 10 inch, 1024 x 768 pixel capacitive touchscreen display, a 1 GHz TI OMAP3621 processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of storage. The tablet runs Google Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread.
The Pocketbook A10 has 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 6600mAh battery. It measures 9.6″ x 8.1″ x 0.6″ and the tablet weighs about 1.5 pounds. It has a speaker, mic, and a 2MP camera.
While Pocketbook has been working on a device with a Mirasol sunlight readable display, this isn’t that product. The A10 appears to have a fairly standard color LCD screen. There’s no word on when the company’s Mirasol tablet/eReader will be available.
Update: The Verge has some hands-on photos, and they seem reasonably impressed with the design.
