HTC Jetstream, AT&T's first 4G tablet, arrives September 4th

Summary: HTC has officially announces the Jetstream tablet. But at $700, will anyone bite?

HTC’s repeatedly leaked Puccini tablet now has an official and far less strange name: the Jetstream.

Headed for AT&T September 4th, the Jetstream is the carrier’s first real 4G tablet and comes with Android 3.1, a 1.5GHz dual core processor, and a 10.1-inch screen.

But there is one big problem: HTC is selling it for $700, and then only if customers sign up for a two year contract with monthly $35 data plan. Clearly HTC hasn’t been monitoring the tablet graveyard, which is populated almost exclusively by products that were far too expensive. And at $700, the Jetstream will certainly be one of them.
