Point of View to offer GeForce GTX 550 Ti with 4GB of memory, really

Point of View has done the (insert UT voice here) Overkill dance and, for reasons that really elude us, has developed a GeForce GTX 550 Ti card with 4GB of on-board memory, that's 4096MB - four times the amount found on 'regular' GTX 550 Ti.

Sure, more memory is nice but 4GB seems too much for a lower mid-range card that has to make due with a 128-bit interface. Also, the 4GB are DDR3 not GDDR5, and they are clocked at 1066 MHz. The card's GPU has a 900 MHz clock while its 192 CUDA Cores run at 1800 MHz.

POV's GeForce GTX 550 Ti 4GB also boasts D-Sub, DVI and HDMI outputs, and can be found on pre-order priced as low as €113.
