The TouchPad may not have received the greatest of accolades so far, but that isn’t preventing AT&T from jumping aboard. The company announced today the TouchPad 4G, which is built to run on AT&T’s HSPA+ network.
HP announced the cellular-connected version of the tablet back in June, but it was at that point unknown whether the tablet would run on AT&T’s 4G network.
In addition, to 4G support the newest TouchPad also comes with a 1.5GHz processor, a significant step-up over the 1.2GHz one in the current TouchPad. So far, HP has only announced a 32GB version of the tablet.
There’s no word on price or availability, but it’s a safe bet that the TouchPad 4G will be a bit more pricy than the original version.
