Sony may have yet to give its S1 and S2 tablets official names, but that hasn’t prevented AT&T from claiming exclusive carrier access to at least one of them.
Sony announced the S2 alongside the S1 back in April. While painfully little has been said about either tablet, we do know that the S2 will be a dual-screen device a la the Nintendo 3DS and Kyocera Echo. The device features a pair of 5.5 inch screens as well as clamshell design, allowing it to close on itself.
There is no official release date for the S2 besides “later this year”, so it’s a bit strange that Sony would allow AT&T to make its announcement when the S2 is stil in codename status. Either way, we know know that the S2 will run on AT&T’s HSPA+ 4G network. So there’s that.
